We don’t like chit-chat if it’s not towards a purpose, it’s just not how we’re wired.
I would say that if he says he’s going to text or call you, he should do that…
It’s no secret that there are pros & cons to dating in general, and I’ll be the first to admit that my cons definitely outweighed the pros.
But – alas, one day a 6ft 6in police officer walked into my office and my entire notion of “I’m 23, I don’t need a man! Do you know how many creeps and weirdos are out in the middle of the night that your honey is having to deal with? Chances are, if he/she is working nights, it’s a 12-hour shift.
It makes me feel unloved but I don’t know how to let him know that without him getting mad.
He’s like “Oh yeah, I’ll text you tomorrow.” Then he doesn’t!
Better make sure your honey clears it with the Captain. The whole point of dating is to find somebody who brings out the best in you.
He’s involved in dangerous situations almost all the time & I, as his girlfriend, am expected to be okay with that. You get to brag about how sexy your man/woman looks in his uniform.
I, personally, do not have a problem with this (hence why it’s also a pro), but I understand that some people may not be chill with guns. It’s not that he/she doesn’t want to spend time with you, but he/she is probably still used to even having another person around…
